I had never been until recently a friend said we should do lunch there. We picked a table in the carriage. The seats are very comfy but you do need to be good friends as there is not a lot of room in these seats (of course you can eat in the other restaurant part) i ordered leak and potatoe pie. Very nice with some garlic bread. Service was a bit slow but we arrived just as the lunch menu was starting, staff very friendly and helpful.. I would definitely go there again.

We were lucky to get a table and we should have booked as this is a very popular cafe. Friendly staff and good service even though it was busy. Freshly prepared food and lovely coffee.

Very pleasant atmosphere with the log burner crackling away and the beams. The actual carriage is very classy harking back to steam era. Staff are well mannered and were very helpful. We'll be back there again.

A fabulous cosy place. Great fresh tasty food and drinks. I had the lamb dinner which was perfectly cooked. And really loved the dessert, which was a sweet and zingy mandarin and orange cheesecake. The staff are wonderful and so friendly, and they are super attentive and caring. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The staff are charming; the food plentiful; the atmosphere welcoming and there is no intrusive music. Having lunch in a railway carriage, on a table laid with a white tablecloth, was delightful.

Third time coming here in a couple of months and it's safe to say, it's our new favourite place. In fact, it's the only Sunday lunch my husband will eat that isn't cooked by myself... so win win for me and I've now got out of slaving away on more than one occasion!Great choice of meats, you can have one meat or mixed (which is huge!), plenty of sides/veg, Yorkshire puds to die for, plenty of condiments and plenty of gravy... which is great as my husband likes his swimming! The chap that took our order (pretty sure he runs the place) is so friendly, chatty and hospitable, we really wouldn't go anywhere else and highly recommend!
